Surgical Instrument Sterilization — Spectrum Surgical Congratulates Matt Rudolph on CCSVP Certification

Spectrum Surgical’s own Matt Rudolph, Chief Customer Advocate and Vice President, was the first to earn the new Certified Central Service Vendor Partner (CCSVP) certification.

The CCSVP certification program was developed by International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM). Certified sales representatives will help solve obstacles that vendors face daily. The certification program also equips participants with time-saving techniques in reaching departmental solutions.

In a recent article featured in Communique Rudolph states,

“Spectrum has always been focused on education. The CCSVP program challenged me to know more than just the product I am selling.

The in-hospital training allowed me to spend valuable time with my customers while learning and working in the Sterile Processing Department.”

Surgical Instrument Care — Learning Never Ends

In a recent article in IAHCSMM, Editor and Media Relations Manager Julie Williamson discussed the continuous cycle of learning and the different resources available.

Williamson mentions how education comes in many forms. Meetings and lesson plans not only raise awareness, but it can provide a source for educational reminders of basic information we could have forgotten along the way of our careers.

A few publications Williamson suggests for daily digest is Central Source, IAHCSMM’s Communique, myriad healthcare trade magazines and journals. The publications include best practices, success stories and areas of improvement for different departments.

Williamson also notes to include the ‘Health’ section of newspapers. This will help you keep up-to-date with current industry news and happenings.

As our careers and skills develop, it’s important to acknowledge the mentors and “teachers” that helped us along the way. In the end, we are all students with no graduation or education “end point.”

Nobbe is a retired Major from the United States Army Reserve and earned his bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University and MBA from Baldwin Wallace College.
